InLife Negosyo Challenge
The InLife Negosyo Challenge endeavors to support women-led or women-focused social enterprises. As part of the Foundation’s advocacy to socioeconomic mobility, supported businesses are chosen by how they lend innovative solutions to on-ground issues, especially social issues that directly impact the marginalized or the environment. We partner with the InLife Sheroes Advocacy and Movement, Villgro Philippines, and inBEST Ventures for this enabling program.
The program aims to create deep, real-time change, and disrupt inequities in Philippine society by uplifting enterprises that are led by Filipinas who understand their community well. Through the venture competition, four social enterprises have received means to upskill their businesses and the community they support.
In 2022, the Top 4 social enterprises were:
- Panublix is a collaborative sourcing platform based in Iloilo City. It connects designers and brands to Philippine tropical yarns, handloom textiles, and artisan craft. Rural artisan enterprises are supported by the digital economy.
- Empath provides mental health services for communities, aiming to make mental healthcare and psycho-education accessible to all. It is a women-led and Filipino-owned social enterprise.
- MAGWAI or Magwayen Organics is a company and brand that pioneers marine-friendly and sustainable personal care products. Flagship products of MAGWAI are its reef-safe sunscreen with natural ingredients and shampoo bars, both of which are accessible and eco-friendly for the average Filipino.
- HeySuccess Virtual Assistance Services provides training and mentoring for IP communities in Benguet and Baguio City. Their services aim to coach and prepare would-be digital professionals and virtual assistants, especially for the IP who want to enter the workforce.
