To help public schools provide a conducive learning environment for students, Insular Foundation extended support to 16 public schools nationwide through the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela.

The Foundation donated around 230,000-worth of paint and other construction materials for seven public schools in Metro Manila, six schools in nearby provinces in Luzon, and three schools in Visayas.

The beneficiary schools in Metro Manila are: Itaas Elementary School, Alabang Elementary School, Bayanan Elementary School, Pedro E. Diaz High School, and Putatan Elementary School in Muntinlupa City; Fourth Estate Elementary School - Marcelo Green in Parañaque City; and Malabon Elementary School.

The Foundation also conducted financial literacy sessions at Sta. Anastacia-San Rafael National High School in Tanauan, Batangas; Tambo Elementary School in Lipa City, Batangas; San Pablo Central School in Laguna; and Lusacan Elementary School in Quezon.

This year’s support for Brigada Eskwela also involved Insular Life's local offices for Balibago Primero Integrated School in Pampanga; Imelda Integrated School in Nueva Ecija; and Soob Elementary School in Leyte, and Canduman National High School and Zapatera Elementary School in Cebu.
