Philippine Eagle Week 2025
InLife Foundation joined hands with the Philippine Eagle Foundation in co-presenting AgiLaya: Philippine Eagle Week 2025 from June 4 to 10, 2025. This observance is a national call to protect the critically endangered Philippine Eagle, the iconic symbol of Filipino pride and a vital indicator of our forest ecosystem’s health.
A major highlight of the AgiLaya Week in Luzon was the exhibit on “Binuang,” the newest Philippine Eagle chick from the first active nest discovered in the Central Sierra Madre and the second documented nest in Luzon. This exhibit marks a big step forward in understanding eagle populations as part of ongoing research efforts in Luzon. The opening of the exhibit in SM City Cabanatuan was attended by Gerry Catama Jr, InLife’s Regional Head for East Central Luzon; InLife Foundation Deputy Executive Director Tere Melad; and InLife financial advisors from Cabanatuan.
The Philippine Eagle Week’s kick-off event was held at the Philippine Eagle Center in Mindanao, while awareness-building and educational activities were conducted to engage communities and schools in Luzon.
